The Rancho Bernardo Unit of Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to host its 4th Annual “Comedy Night for A Cause” on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event will feature local San Diego clean comedians, an online auction and catered “Southwest at its Best” dinner at the San Diego Oasis - Rancho Bernardo campus. 

Each year, the Rancho Bernardo Unit selects an under-funded department at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego to support through this signature fundraising event. This year we have selected the Audiology Department, the leading center in Southern California for cochlear implants. They have achieved a six-month treatment timeline, from initial assessments for newborns who fail their hearing test to surgically placing the implants, which is most beneficial and life changing for the children receiving them. 

The Audiology Department has identified the following critical funding needs to expand clinical space and improve patient care:
•    One additional sound booth: $90,000
•    One Corti for sound booth: $11,000
•    One Verifit for the cochlear implant fitting room: $45,000
